Polyester (Mylar) Flexible Heaters
Ultra-thin profile for low-temperature applications with the tightest bending radius in the range.

Why choose this technology
A polyester (Mylar) flexible heater is an ultra-thin, low-temperature heating element in which an etched-foil resistive circuit is laminated between polyester films. Only 250 µm thick, it offers the tightest bending radius in the range and is ideal for compact appliances and defogging applications up to 110°C continuous.
Ultra-Thin (250 µm)
Only 250 µm thick — ideal where space and weight are critical.
Tight Bending Radius
Bending radius as low as ~8 mm for compact, curved installations.
Low-Temperature Duty
Continuous service up to 110°C with peaks to 130°C — perfect for gentle heating.
CE Certified
Tested to EN 60335 and RoHS compliant, fully customizable in shape and power.

Frequently asked questions
How thin is a polyester (Mylar) flexible heater?
Elmat polyester heaters are only 250 µm thick and offer a bending radius as tight as ~8 mm — the most compact profile in the range.
What temperature range do polyester heaters support?
Continuous service up to 110°C (105°C with adhesive backing), with peaks to 130°C — ideal for low-temperature and defogging applications.
Can polyester heaters be customised?
Yes. Shape, power density and cable outlets are fully customisable, up to 3000×600 mm. All units are CE certified and tested to EN 60335.
